Account information
ShortCourse processes your account identifier, email address, and name when provided by your sign-in method. Amazon Cognito manages authentication. If you choose Apple or Google sign-in, that provider also processes the sign-in request. The app stores session credentials using secure storage on your device.
Courses and learning activity
Your topics, course settings, generated lessons and images, lesson progress, token activity, and content reports are processed to deliver and maintain the service. Course and study generation sends the topic and relevant course content to an AI processing service. Processing may take place outside your country. Courses and related account data are stored using Amazon Web Services. Avoid including sensitive personal information in course topics or reports.
Resumes and imports
Resumes can contain contact information, education, and employment history. When you choose to import a resume, its extracted text is sent to an AI processing service to organize it into editable sections. Processing may take place outside your country. Uploaded files are processed temporarily and are not stored as files by ShortCourse. Saved resume sections are stored in your account on Amazon Web Services. You can edit or delete resumes and include them in your account data export. Account deletion removes saved resumes from the active account; backups may remain.
Purchases
When store billing is configured, RevenueCat and the applicable app store process your app account identifier, product and transaction information, and subscription status to verify purchases, restore access, and manage course and legacy token allowances. Payment details are handled by the payment provider. ShortCourse receives purchase verification information rather than your full payment-card details.
Device preferences and reminders
The app stores learning and reminder preferences on your device and account. Study reminders are scheduled locally when you allow notifications. If you enable course-ready notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging processes your device token to deliver them. You can change reminder settings in the app and notification permission in your device settings.
Service operation
Technical logs and operational metrics help diagnose failures, secure the service, and reconcile course generation and purchases. When configured, Sentry processes crash reports and diagnostic information. Service providers process information as part of authentication, hosting, AI generation, notifications, and billing. Their own privacy policies also apply to the services they provide directly to you.
Your controls and deletion
You can change device permissions, turn off reminders, sign out, and delete your account from your profile. You can also request account and associated data deletion by emailing shijithmc@gmail.com with the subject ShortCourse account deletion, without signing in or reinstalling the app. Include your account email address and send from that address if possible. Support will verify account ownership by email before deleting the account. Account deletion removes the active ShortCourse account, its courses, resumes, other account records, and course-cover files. Moderation reports, including account identifiers, report reasons, reported lesson text, and review history, are retained separately for security and abuse investigations. Operational logs, backups, AI usage accounting, and separate payment-provider records may remain after deletion. Store subscriptions must be cancelled separately; deleting the account does not stop their renewal.
